System Overview

Single-ply roofs are made with membranes of synthetic rubber or plastic, installed as a single layer and are relatively inexpensive. However, the thinner surface makes these roofs easier to puncture, they have a relatively short lifespan and are suceptable to water retention problems.

Specguard’s Single-Ply Roofing System builds up a single-ply roof and creates a moisture, sun, and wind damage barrier that also increases resistance to puncture. Using coatings with a 20% higher volume of solids than the industry standard, single-ply roofs can be built up in thickness and when combined with high tensile strength polyester fiber cloth a single-ply roof can become much stronger and resistant to the elements.
